Not only do I feel bad because I haven't posted on here in over a month, I feel bad because I have barely updated anything. I'm going to write about the Twins game that my dad and I went to on June 26th vs the Chicago White Sox. We sat in the home run porch and it was tons of fun. It was a hot and gorgeous evening, and Liam Hendricks was coming to the mound.

It was a hot and gorgeous evening, and Liam Hendricks was coming to the mound. Chicago struck first and the Twins were down early, but I still enjoyed taking pictures of all the beautiful things around the ballpark. It's a whole new part of Target Field that I haven't seen! The Twins ended up almost coming back in the 9th- but they ended up losing. All in all a fun time was had! Written by: Morgan Fox The Twins played in their first interleague series this weekend and it was eventful to say the least. The Twins won 2 out of the 3 games. On Friday night, Scott Diamond continued to be excellent and won his 3rd game of the season, making him 3-0. He also picked up his first big league hit and run scored. Saturday the game was more of a pitchers duel and the Twins ended up winning the game on a Trevor Plouffe home run in the 11th inning. The game on Sunday was a painful one for the Minnesota Twins, but it was entertaining in a weird way. The Twins didn't score a lot of runs and the Brewers did. A few good things came out of the game though, Mauer was 4-for-5 and Ben Revere continued his hot hitting. My personal favorite part of the game was that Drew Butera pitched! The Twins were being crushed and Butera pitched a scoreless inning, getting a strikeout and topping off at 94 MPH. Home sweet home? Well not really, the Twins are heading to Chicago, but they have had a lot of success in Chicago the last few season's, including Francisco Liriano's no-no last May. And some of you may of noticed that a few things changed on my website, I'm not really sure why, but the fonts and such changed so they might be changing more often as I play around with the different options.. Follow the author(s) on Twitter: @morganfox19 There have been some great players to wear Twins uniforms over their existence. There have been power hitters, base stealers and fantastic defensive players. There have been silver sluggers, MVPs, batting champions, gold gloves winners and two World Series Championships celebrated in Minnesota. One thing has always held true, is the Legacy in center field. I haven't been around since the beginning of the Twins coming to Minnesota. In fact I never got to watch Kirby control the outfield and I was really young when Torii took over.
The Twins have a legacy in centerfield is just really special, I think it is incredible how one player can completely change the way the game is played and for the Twins, that is Kirby Puckett. Kirby was Torii's rolemodel and he based a lot of his game off of how Kirby played the game. The home run robbing catches are some of the greatest catches in history. Torii isn't afraid of any walls and is always willing to sacrifice his body. Next came Denard Span, he also looked up to Kirby and refers to Torii as his "big brother" since he always helps him out. Span is known for his speed and fantastic defense. He is a great lead off hitter and the legacy will continue and we have already seen with Ben Revere. Arguably one the fastest people in the major leagues. Ben Revere is not afraid of anything, he robs home runs, takes away doubles, dives for the wall, lays out to take away a hit. Ben also makes a lot of so called outs into infield singles and proceeds to steal second and possible third. He can also do a somersault inbetween second and third and still make it to third safely. hehe. The legacy in center field is something that will always be special to me, I won't forget the All-Star game when Torii robbed Barry Bonds of the home run. I won't forget when Span got three triples in a game. I won't forget when Ben Revere had his back to the field and took the home run back. and even if I wasn't alive, I will never forget watching the replays of Kirby's famous "...and we will see you tomorrow night" home run. This is the Legacy of Center Field In Minnesota. Twins vs. OriolesWell, not exactly how the Twins wanted to start the season off, but it is what it is. I did see some good things today though, Carroll was really solid at shortstop, he made some great defensive plays. Chris Parmalee looked great at firstbase too, as a long time Twins fan, it is going to take some time getting used to not having Justin Morneau at first, but I think that Parmalee has a great future over at first. Josh Willingham ended his Twins debut with a 2-Run Homerun, which is good to see! I'm looking forward to this season still and I think that the Twins are still going to have success! Twins final stats: Rays vs. YankeesTHIS GAME WAS FUN! I didn't get to watch the game, but it was fabulous to keep track off! Loved how it started early on with them intentionally walking S-Rod to get to Carlos Pena and then he hits a grand slam! WELCOME HOME CARLOS PENA! What a cool moment, I saw a highlight of it and the Trop almost blew up! It went crazy! Yankees scored a couple of runs and the 9th inning magic was back! Desmond singled and then Zobrist tripled him home to tie the game and Mo blew the save. Then they Intentionally walked Longoria and Scott to get to S-Rod, who had a fantastic at-bat but ended up striking out. It was Carlos' turn again.. Could he do it again with the bases loaded? He didn't get a grand slam, but he got a single to win it for the Rays! I'm so glad that Carlos got to have a happy homecoming for the Rays, he is going to have a great season!
Rays Final Stats: Well, the Twins haven't had the winning ways like they normally do.. but there is a series that they normally win. This is always a fun series to have.. It's even more fun because the Twins generally dominate! Twins vs. Chicago White Sox.. Oh this rival has a lot of history, from the ejections of Gardy and Ozzie... and the fact that A.J. (Anthony John if your TK) can't throw out runners and just the series in general is always fun! Generally, the Minnesota Twins win these series and they are always fun. One of the most disappointing games was the game 163 that we lost. Hopefully the Twins can continue their winning ways against the Chicago White Sox! Now here are some of my favorite memories that have happened in a Chicago vs. Minnesota series! It's always a good rival.. Lets play ball! Go Twins!
